1st Anniversary Special!

Today, one year ago, I first published Emerald Wasp after a long developing journey!
It's been a hell of a ride and I'm glad I decided to share the game with all of you, because it made me connect with awesome people on the internet and changed my experience as an indiedev. I'll go with the most important thing first!
I made a special to celebrate! There may or may not be something else... if you know how to look for it...
Thank you so much for playing the game and sharing your enthusiasm with me!
[Also, below the video, there's some news!]

CGs and Steam

The game is currently going through a re-haul of CGs!
It'll take a long time, both to give the artist plenty of time and to give me time to fund all of them. It wouldn't have been possible without the commissions you ordered on Ko-Fi though, I can't thank you enough for this! I'd love to share the preview of the CGs present at the moment, but I asked the artist to start from the most NSFL ones so... I don't have a safe one to share yet.
My plan is to try and submit it on steam after the CGs are all replaced. There's a dozen of them and I wonder if I will be able to add the ones missing from the original, especially the highly requested one of the True Ending. And, regardless of the updates, the game will (and will always be) free of charge.

Spanish Translation

I didn't announce it this time because I didn't want to jinx it, but as of today it's finalized and I'm testing the build!
It's all thanks to the translator, Mist, who took over the enormous script and adapted it in such a short time. I learned some Spanish peculiar words too know and I loved how Mist explained to me the choices of a certain expression over the other.
There will be a devlog dedicated to it, but in the meantime if you want to support Mist please check out this

One Year Later

As of now Emerald Wasp has 59 ratings, more than 16k views, 4k downloads and it's in over 1k collections. And I still remember the panic rush I had when I saw 300 downloads on the first day of launch - the panic was, of course, because there's nothing like 300 players trying simultaneosly the game to discover new bugs. I started with the numbers because I'm still shocked by those, it's huge support and I couldn't be more grateful for this! Over one year Emerald Wasp has had three translations, lots of videos and fanarts I will always cherish, a theory video and a mention in the iceberg, a tumblr ask page, a surprise cosplay group, a set of amigurumi gifted to me and the hilarious TV Tropes page.  It got also its share of slander videos, troll comments, weird questions about Béla's stinger, a couple of review bombs and the rejection from Freem due to the graphic nature of the CGs. All of this, one year ago, sounded impossible to me - it was just a little game. It became something more and I'm really grateful to you all.

Thank you for reading this, for playing Emerald Wasp and for staying with me through (what for me was) a difficult year.

This is all amazing news!

First of all, congratulations on one year of EmWa, and on over 4k downloads! This game is awesome and I really hope even more people play it as time goes on 💜

I'm so excited to see how the re-done and added CGs turn out. I am looking forward to playing Emerald Wasp again when everything is finished (and I will also definitely be getting it on Steam when you get that set up ^-^)

A little late but... thank you Cryptid ;\\\\;
Over 4K downloads sounds huge to me, you know like when you watch quiz shows on TV and the numbers are so high they seem abstract!
It'll take time but I hope it all goes well, I like how the new CGs are looking so far!

Thank you Chiiaki! I'm glad to hear that ;\\\\;
Hopefully I will be able to do it within the second anniversary!
