I always like to do devlogs on the 6th of January, it's an important date here in Italy! 
This one is about the massive update I'm preparing for the anniversary of the game (5th of April 2026)!
As per tradition everytime I have to announce something big per Emerald Wasp I get scared something might go wrong, like when I announced the CGs in the past and the artist had to stop working, so I'll tell what is finished so far... but I'm working on more, I promise! 

1) With the help of my friends at Studio Dekaloop we held a casting call for Béla. While Archie and Leon have voiced lines from Dan Bosley, Béla had a very damaged audio that was meant to be placeholder and I've wanted to change that for so long. This was meant to be a surprise but due to a series of events in the end I came forward on twitter and bluesky, so some of you might already know! The casting call is almost over and lots of talented voice actors applied, I can't wait to show you the end result!
That said, I wish I could do this for all the localized versions (Esp, Pt-Br, Jp and Rus) so if you're reading this and know where to nudge me please reply to the devlog or contact me! 

2) I'm restructuring some of the base "code", let's call it like this, for something... one of the things I'll be able to fix, hopefully, will be the dreadful flashlight bug. As I told you in the past I knew how to fix it but my computer wasn't able to handle it at the time, now I have more knowledge about the engine and I'm tinkering with stuff. The real reason I'm doing this is another though... I don't want to jinx it so I'll update you in a devlog if I manage to put it all in the game! 
It will be done in a way or another, if not the main game then it will be in one of the extras for the anniversary... and I really hope you'll enjoy it!

3) I saved the best for last! Cherbox, the artist working with me on Rule of Salt, is making the new CGs of the game! They're not making only CGs though and I have the permission to show a little sneak peek... eheh, see?
